The International Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (IJPESS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal committed to advancing scholarship and professional practice in the fields of physical education, human movement science, exercise physiology, sports psychology, biomechanics, sports medicine, athletic training, and sports management. The journal provides an inclusive platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers to explore, share, and critically examine contemporary issues, pedagogical innovations, scientific breakthroughs, and socio-cultural dynamics affecting physical education and sports globally.

The scope of IJPESS encompasses both theoretical and empirical studies, ranging from foundational and applied research to action-based and community-engaged investigations. It welcomes interdisciplinary contributions that examine the role of physical education and sports in health promotion, youth development, inclusive education, talent identification, rehabilitation, leadership, and global sporting events. It is with great honor and enthusiasm that we present the inaugural issue of the International Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (IJPESS), Volume 1, Issue 1, 2026. This first issue marks the beginning of a scholarly endeavor dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and professional practice in the dynamic fields of physical education, sports sciences, human movement, exercise science, health promotion, and athletic development.

As societies continue to recognize the profound impact of physical activity on human health, well-being, and quality of life, the role of physical education and sports sciences has become increasingly significant. Beyond athletic performance, these disciplines contribute substantially to the holistic development of individuals by promoting physical fitness, mental resilience, social responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and lifelong healthy lifestyles. In this context, the need for rigorous, evidence-based research has never been more essential.

The International Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences was established to provide a global platform for researchers, educators, coaches, sports practitioners, health professionals, and policymakers to share innovative ideas, empirical findings, and best practices that contribute to the advancement of the field.
